
Meet The Team

Born and raised in Clear Lake, Dr. Leestma graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She is a member of AVMA and TVMA with experience from a small animal internship at Pet Emergency and studied CCRP at University of Tennessee CVM. She officially joined BCAC in 2019 with prior relief work in 2012. Her special interests include managing chronic disease, soft tissue surgery, and physical rehabilitation. Currently, Dr. Leestma's family includes her husband, 3 children, Kora, Korbin and Kallen, 3 dogs, Cooper, Newby, and Kaia, Boone the "retired" clinic cat, a few chickens, and a bunch of fish. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is building relationships with clients and their pets to keep both happy and healthy.

As our Practice Manager Nikki ensures day to day
activities run smoothly. While helping answer phone calls and emails, Nikki provides our clients and patients the care they deserve. We are proud and fortunate to say she has been a part of our team since 2003.
Pets: a Golden Retriever named Whiskey & 3 cats, Phoebe, Koda, and Cheeto

The process of seeing a sick, young patient do a complete 180 and come back for a well visit, overflows Georgi with pure joy and happiness.
Will be welcoming her first two legged baby, Sterling in December 2022!
Pets: a GSD named Kimber, 5 cats, 3 ferrets, and a collection of reptiles

Inspired by her mother, Jen began working in the animal industry at a young age and continues to help new and returning patients.

With 20 years of experience, Stacy
enjoys caring for patients, educating clients in preventative healthcare, and working with emergencies and anything unusual.

Mollie is our newest veterinary assistant, having joined BCAC team in late 2022. She got her start working in an animal shelter in Austin and has aspirations to become an LVT.
Pets: 3 dogs, Trixie, Bailey and Avery
Will be welcoming her first two legged baby, Elliot in February 2023!

Matthew is our 2022-2023 high school intern. Hoping to one day become a veterinarian himself, he has joined our team to get real life experience.
Pets: a vizsla named Patches, a great pyrenes named Moose, a mix named Chloe and a calico kitty named Miso
