Meet The Team
Born and raised in Clear Lake, Dr. Leestma graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She is a member of AVMA and TVMA with experience from a small animal internship at Pet Emergency and studied CCRP at University of Tennessee CVM. She officially joined BCAC in 2019 with prior relief work in 2012. Her special interests include managing chronic disease, soft tissue surgery, and physical rehabilitation. Currently, Dr. Leestma's family includes her husband, 3 children, Kora, Korbin and Kallen, 3 dogs, Cooper, Newby, and Kaia, Boone the "retired" clinic cat, a few chickens, and a bunch of fish. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is building relationships with clients and their pets to keep both happy and healthy.
Ensuring the day to day activities run smoothly, while helping answer phone calls or emails, Nikki provides our clients and patients the care they deserve. We are proud and fortunate to say she has been a part of our team since 2003.
